With the goal of spending more time outside, these homeowners contracted Blue Dog Exteriors to extend their existing deck, including the addition of an outdoor kitchen.

Surrounded by glass railings, the outdoor kitchen is fitted with amenities such as a sink, storage space and a large barbecue. With ample space for cooking and entertaining, a wooden pergola combined with a ShadeFX retractable shade provide coverage for the grill master.

The 14’ x 10’ manual canopy glides effortlessly along the single track. Blue Dog Exteriors added custom wood stabilizers to match the pergola, deflecting rain to the homeowners desired direction. The retractable shade allows the chef to cook under open skies or protected by the bespoke canopy.

Enhancing the current living space, Blue Dog Exteriors built a second pergola just outside the glass sliding doors. For this space, ShadeFX customized a slightly larger 16’ x 10’ Sunbrella Linen Tweed canopy.

Overlooking an enormous green landscape with native pine trees, the raised deck entices the homeowners and their guests to take the party outdoors. The exterior kitchen has a welcoming bar top paired with palm tree etched stools, while the second area is yet to be determined.

Regardless of what the secondary space is used for, underneath is well protected with the combination of a traditional pergola and ShadeFX.
