Since 1922, York Downs has provided members with an exclusive York Downs Golf Experience that is “More than Just Golf”. Their 2013 course renovation was indicative of this motto, and it was one that extended beyond the course and on to the clubhouse.

The solid, concrete exterior emboldens the dominant horizontal lines supporting the second tier deck. The building is tied together by a glass façade and expansive patio. The clubhouse is the focal point of the course, and with its fine reputation for quality service and products, guests are never disappointed.

However, when Mother Nature decides to rain down on a round of 18, there is little more that can be done for members except provide cover! Prior to the ShadeFX, the clubhouse used a retractable awning that failed to drain properly and hindered the aesthetic of the clubhouse. The single 40′ use done ‘captive’ stabilizer against the building so the wings facing the fairways literally float in the air.

Now the members enjoy the ultimate in retractable protection from both sun and rain as another item in the long list of quality services provided at York Downs, where it’s ‘More than Just Golf’.
