Cambridge residents Margaret and Robert own an older 2-storey brick and vinyl-siding house with a small enclosed yard in the back. The homeowners wanted to make good use of their smaller backyard.

They enlisted the help of local contractors Dawson Outdoor Spaces to carve out the most useable space that would fit their outdoor lifestyle.

Right off of the sliding doors is a nook that houses the homeowners’ tall outdoor dining table and chairs. Overhead is a wood pergola and retractable shade to protect the space from the elements.

Working with the local contractor, ShadeFX specified a 10’x8’ manual retractable canopy in Sunbrella Beige fabric. This color pairs flawlessly with the natural wood of the pergola.
