Edley’s BBQ pays tribute to the classic Southern BBQ style of cooking. From its roots in Nashville, Tennessee, to its expansion to other states like Illinois, Edley’s provides each customer with a taste of regional favorites crafted from their signature low and slow smoked meat and made-from-scratch sides. With each meal cooked with grit, “Gutsy, Responsible, Impassioned, and Thoughtful,” Edley’s strives to treat every customer like family and remind them of the unique charm that only true Southern soul food can offer.

Management sought to enhance its Southern experience and expand the shoulder season of its latest location in Glen Carbon, Illinois. ShadeFX was happy to provide a versatile solution for the outdoor patio area. Two 20×14 retractable roofs in an Arcade Medium Gray fabric were specified to mount above their custom-built structure. Gutters were added for rain management, and all canopy hardware was powder-coated black for that sleek finish.

When it comes to catering, no event or customer is too big or small for Edley’s: they serve corporate lunches, weddings and formal occasions alike. The motorized retractable solution, paired with rolldown shades and indoor heaters, helps ensure that no matter what the weather brings, guests can enjoy the outdoor experience for most of the year. During the warmer months, the entire space can be transformed into a cool al fresco spot just with a click of a button.
