Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar is a vibrant Mexican restaurant and tequila lounge with a new branch in Fort Point, Boston. Staying true to the original flavor, its interior has beautiful but haunting themes from the Dia de Los Muertos holiday, with a touch of Old Spanish influences.
Twice as large as its older Back Bay sibling, Lolita Cocina Fort Point sits right on the water in a space below the main street level. Its menus scream interpretations of traditional Mexican cuisine serving up tasty options for brunch, lunch, and dinner. For the Tequila Bar, there is a separate and extensive menu for tequila enthusiasts to choose from.
Patrons come for the tacos but stay for the tequila. When the sun is setting, there’s no better place to sip on margaritas than on the restaurant’s covered outdoor patio on the water. The outdoor bar and seating area on the Harborwalk is covered by a large custom pergola and protected by two versatile retractable roofs.
Customized to perfection, ShadeFX manufactured two 24’x18’ retractable roofs in a HarbourTime Edge Putty fabric with gutters and hardware powder-coated black.
The service team traveled to Fort Point for ShadeFX’s ‘white glove service’ and was responsible for the installation of the roofs adding nearly 900 sq ft of sun and rain protection. The topside installation makes room for heaters, speakers and outdoor string lights to be mounted underneath the structure for a three-season waterfront patio.
Whether taking in the city’s skyline or marveling at Fort Point Channel’s deep blues, Lolita Cocina’s patio offers breathtaking views and an unmatched outdoor atmosphere. With a protected bar and seats with ample heating, patrons can enjoy the chill waterfront whether rain or shine.
