Newport Vineyards is a trove of delicious surprises for wine lovers. The largest grower in New England, they pride themselves on being sustainable and environmentally friendly while producing top-quality products and hosting unique events.
Founded by brothers John and Paul Nunes in 1995, the vineyard blends its award-winning wine, fresh craft beer, and farm-to-table dining experiences over 100 acres of preserved farmland just minutes from Newport, Rhode Island.
The winery also provides exceptional venue options suitable for any occasion or size. As a popular wedding/band venue, their vineyard setting or refined rustic space can be customized for a memorable celebration.
Looking to upgrade and enhance their outdoor event space, the Nunes brothers researched a versatile weather solution: one that would protect guests from rain and sun when needed but still treat them to open skies when required. The search results led them to ShadeFX and our structures and retractable roofs.
Four 20” x 18” retractable roofs and structures were customized to fit the lawn area formerly outfitted with table umbrellas. Gutters were added for optimal rain management, and outdoor lighting was strung underneath to create an intimate ambience after dark. Heaters can also be added when the temperature drops to ensure the space remains cozy.
The motorized roofs in the Serge Ferrari Champagne fabric were paired with custom structures powder-coated in a complimentary brown.
Now, the completely renovated terrace is the ideal location for guests to soak up the rays during the summer and have an intimate dinner during the fall.
