Chase Park Plaza in downtown St. Louis stands as a testament to a time when architectural excellence demanded reflections of luxury and class to be embedded into design. Boasting four different restaurants, a five-screen cinema, spa, fitness facilities and an outdoor heated pool, ‘The Chase’ is held in high regard as the preeminent destination for visitors coming to St. Louis. As in most of our projects, we were more than happy to contribute our part to this stunning renovation project.

One of the greatest attractions of ‘The Chase’, aside from the beautiful architecture and stunning interior intricacies, is the lavish outdoor pool. A major draw for tourists and guests visiting the hotel, it seemed to lack that finishing touch, that little bit of class that would reflect the exterior of the building, and give guests the V.I.P experience they deserve.

To deliver our ‘piece de resistance’, we constructed a bold white pergola that measured 26’ 10” X 7, boasting 3 different ‘bays’. Each one could be separated from the next, in case guests sought out a bit of privacy from one another. To ensure maximum comfort, we installed three separate retractable canopies, the two outside bay canopies were 6’11” X 6’8”, while the middle canopy was 6’11” X 12’ 4”. This would allow guests in each canopy to adjust their bay in accordance to their own comfort levels, while not disturbing their neighbors.

ShadeFX took great joy in completing this project, and are pleased to have left our mark on a local legend and classic example of architectural perfection.
