In the heart of Swiss Avenue’s Historic District, a complete backyard remodel is captained by The Ed Jarrett Company. The expansive backyard renovation included the addition of a concrete pad for luxurious vehicles, a calming pool oasis fit with a spa and a large pergola on the back patio.

With restrictions in remodeling these landmark homes, the development of this backyard required a lot of attention to detail. Looking to add sun protection to the structure, ShadeFX travelled to the coveted neighborhood to carry out a comprehensive site assessment. Through measurements, identifying potential constraints and finishes approved by the Historical Board, the team put an order in queue for production.

Accordingly, ShadeFX customized two retractable roofs for the sizable outdoor pergola and travelled back to Old East Dallas for installation.

The ShadeFX service team installed a 20’ x 14’ and a 20’ x 8’ retractable roof in a Sunbrella Charcoal Tweed fabric to cover the immense structure. Connected to a home automation Lutron system, the roofs automatically operate along the single-tracks and c-channels that are powder coated to match the structure color.
