All-inclusive

This narrow Toronto property required a layout that flowed effortlessly from one space to the next. The homeowners desired a backyard that included a protected hot tub, dining table, bar area, barbecue, fire feature and outdoor lounging space. The design features a step-down deck and cantilevered pergola with a large retractable canopy, completing the blue urban oasis.

Privacy, Please!

Royal Decks defined this modern area using PVC decking and a stained timber pergola with integrated lighting. By creating an outdoor room with a warming fireplace for comfort, privacy was a necessity for this space. When extended, the retractable canopy provides sun and rain protection. For a dreamy evening, the canopy can retract exposing the moonlit sky. The vertical blinds add privacy from curious neighbors, almost entirely enclosing this cozy outdoor space.

Rise Above

Surrounded by towering trees and shrubs, Royal Decks customized a raised composite deck to sit amongst the greenery. The well-designed deck includes a dining area, a comfortable lounging area, outdoor fireplace, and barbecue station. The spaces are defined using architectural structures fitted with a permanent roof, and a retractable canopy. The stairways and structures have integrated lighting which increases safety in this lush setting.

Yin and Yang

This project is a great example of Royal Decks ingenuity. The cedar deck and paver interlocking, although very different, complement each other in this backyard design. The timber pergola with retractable canopy defines and establishes a seating area while the lighting contours the fine line of a seamless integration. The dazzling fireplace and lighting add ambience on a beautiful evening.
